Al jaren werkt Index Hospitality Systems voor het Van der Valk concern. Index voorzag vrijwel alle Nederlandse vestigen van horeca automatisering. Maarten van Schijndel, Food and Beverage Manager bij Van der Valk hotel Nuland, vertelt daar meer over in dit filmpje. Over de grens deed eveneens een aantal hotels van het concern een beroep op het bedrijf. Zo ook Van der Valk Hotel Saint-Aygulf – Côte d’Azur.

Tijd en aandacht voor gasten
Deze vestiging ligt op een prachtige plek aan de Côte d’Azur en heeft uitzicht op de Middellandse Zee. Het is er altijd mooi weer en dat maakt het hotel tot een perfecte plek voor een zonovergoten, relaxte vakantie. De luxe ingerichte kamers garanderen elke gast een prettig verblijf en ook in het restaurant wordt iedereen in de watten gelegd. Het bedienend personeel heeft alle tijd en aandacht voor de gasten. Betrouwbare kassa
De Index Kassa vormt de basis voor een snelle en betrouwbare horeca automatisering. De kassa is speciaal ontworpen voor veeleisende horecabedrijven en heeft veel voordelen. Zo is zij heel makkelijk en snel te bedienen wat tijdwinst oplevert. En door het koppelen van een PIN-systeem aan de kassa vermindert het aantal foute betalingen. Dat geeft rust in de bedrijfsvoering, maar tot het genoegen van de gasten ook in het restaurant zelf.

Strandpaviljoens Paal 9 en Paal 12 breiden horeca automatisering uit

Sinds april 2010 werken de strandpaviljoens Paal 9 en Paal 12 op Texel naar volle tevredenheid met drie systemen van Index: een Index kassa van Aloha, Index Keukenmanagement en horeca handheld TIM. René Jager exploiteert zowel Paal 9 als Paal 12 en is erg enthousiast. Zo enthousiast dat hij opnieuw contact opnam met Index Hospitality Systems.

Professionaliseren menucalcultatie en voorraadbeheer
Dit keer stelde Jager de vraag of Index de bedrijfsvoering verder kon professionaliseren door hem meer grip te geven op menucalculatie en voorraadbeheer. Voor veel horecaondernemers een herkenbaar probleem. Ze stoppen veel tijd in het vertroetelen van hun gasten en de presentatie van de producten. Maar hoe zit het met de winst? Weet u welke items op het menu u de meeste winst opleveren?

Dagelijks zicht op de marges
Om dat inzichtelijk te maken koppelde Index Systems bij Paal 9 en Paal 12 Horeko aan de Index Kassa. Hierdoor worden verkoopcijfers automatisch geïmporteerd en heeft Jager dagelijks zicht op de marges. De cijfers kunnen ook gebruikt worden bij het uitvoeren van een Menu Engineering analyse of het berekenen van de theoretische inkoop. Zo zijn alle ingrediëntprijzen up-to-date en de berekende kostprijs en verkoopprijs altijd nauwkeurig.

How cool is TIM you ask ?

So how cool is TIM you ask ?, this is a response from a POS vendor in Greece asked us if he could resell TIM in Greece. We responded that we are currently exclusive with Radiant’s Aloha POS and that he should first inquire with the London office to see if he can become a Radiant reseller in order to sell Aloha and then TIM off course. This is his response to us:

Thank you Robert for your response,
We are in contact with Radiant, and waiting for their terms regarding Aloha POS.
We did contact you first, as we weren’t aware TIM exclusively supports Aloha, our apologies.
From what we’ve heard on the international markets, Aloha POS can be rather expensive for stand alone businesses, but we’ll give it a shot anyway because TIM alone – with proper support – can dominate any market. Again, congratulations for what it seems an almost perfect for fast, trouble-free handheld solution.

Whilst the video is in dutch you will still be able to see TIM in action in a live restaurant, orders are taken on TIM and this increased the speed in which they are delivered to the bar and kitchen. A full QSR system takes care of organizing the kitchen operation that works flawlessly in conjunction with Aloha POS. The owner explains in the video that they increased the revenue by 20% since the solution has been deployed. So on busy days with the same menu, seat capacity and staff they now added 20% to their revenue by using TIM, QSR and Aloha POS.

At the BurgerUp in Nashville the TIM app has been a huge hit from the start, HCS, hospitality control solutions, have successfully deployed the first US TIM installation a few weeks ago and we have been told that the staff fights every morning on who get’s to use the TIM’s.

We are now finalizing testing the 1.4 release that will contain the long awaited pivot seating and enhanced modifier features. This will make TIM ready to function perfectly in the US market as the ultimate hospitality handheld solution that brings Aloha POS to the iOS platform.
